# Uploading actual spends via CSV file
As you streamline the management of your SaaS applications with Spendbase, incorporating transaction data is just as crucial. Spendbase facilitates the integration of transaction details via CSV files, allowing you to upload financial data if you don't have you accounting system on the list of integrations.
### Preparing Your CSV File
To begin, you’ll need to prepare a CSV file with your transaction data. Here’s how to ensure your data is ready for upload:
1. **Organize Your Data**: Structure your data in a spreadsheet with clear headings for each column. Common headings might include Transaction ID, Application Name, Date, Amount, and Description.
2. **Export to CSV**: Once your transaction data is organized, export the spreadsheet to a CSV file. This can be done in Google Sheets by clicking `File` \> `Download` \> `Comma-separated values (.csv)`, or in Microsoft Excel by choosing `File` \> `Save As` and selecting CSV as the file format.
### Uploading the CSV File in Application page
Uploading your prepared CSV file to Spendbase is straightforward:
1. **Navigate to Application page**
2. **Click Upload CSV**: choose the 'Transaction Import' option if available, to specify that you are uploading transaction data.
3. **Map Fields**: match the column headings from your CSV file to the corresponding fields in Spendbase. This ensures that each piece of data is correctly categorized in the system.
4. **Confirm and Upload**:
After the upload, it’s important to review the transaction data in the Spendbase dashboard to ensure everything has been integrated correctly. Check for any discrepancies and make manual adjustments if necessary.
### Uploading the CSV File in Transactions tab
Uploading your prepared CSV file to Spendbase is straightforward:
1. **Navigate to Application page**
2. **Open application details -\> Transaction tab**
3. **Click Upload CSV**: choose the 'Transaction Import' option if available, to specify that you are uploading transaction data.
4. **Map Fields**: match the column headings from your CSV file to the corresponding fields in Spendbase. This ensures that each piece of data is correctly categorized in the system.
5. **Confirm and Upload**:
***Important!:**while uploading transactions if the application mentioned in the file doesn't exist, it will be automatically added to the applications list*
