# How do I close my account if I no longer want to use it?
To close your account, please contact our customer support team at support@spendbase.co. Our team will guide you through the process, which includes the following steps:
1. Initiate closure request: reach out to customer support to start the account closure process.
2. Verification process: for security, only an admin user can initiate the closure. Two-factor authentication (2FA) will be required to verify your request.
3. Account review: our team will review your account to check for any pending transactions, recurring payments, or outstanding fees.
4. Fund redemption: you’ll provide the preferred method for transferring any remaining funds (such as SEPA or Faster Payments) along with the necessary account details.
5. Account closure and confirmation: once the fund transfer is completed, Spendbase will restrict access to your account and send you a confirmation of the closure along with a final statement.
6. Post-closure support: we offer continued support to assist with any questions or documentation you may need after the account is closed.
